Leading Irish sculptor, Fidelma Massey and West Kerry Coast artist, Patsy Farr have just opened their highly anticipated new show at the Greenlane Gallery, Dingle, Co Kerry, which will run until July 31st.

The duo behind the Greenlane, mother and daughter team Susan and Charlie Callery, added not a little touch of glamour to the proceedings as they toasted the artists with a crowd of over 100 guests. Susan and Charlie flew back from Paris for the opening, where they have recently acquired another gallery on the Ille St Louis.

Drawing inspiration from Western sculpture, as well as Easter and Classical mysticism, Massey is on strong form with her new collection which is full of creatures which are both strange and familiar; the mother goddess seated in a cosmos of floating stars, the horned guardian of medieval legend and the unblushing Sheila-na-Gigs of the Celtic past.
