Margo Banks work centres on indigenous animals—hares, crows, foxes, deer, wolves and bears—some now vanished from Ireland through deforestation and hunting.
Working in charcoal, graphite, pastel, ink and acrylics, Margo layers gesture and texture to capture both movement and myth. Rooted in folklore and the everyday countryside, her paintings explore the deep kinship between creature, land and weather.
